Sinn Féin Councillor Conor D. McGuinness has congratslated the members and committee of Abbeyside AFC on their new all-weather pitch.
McGuinness said:
“I want to congratulate and commend the committee and members of Abbeyside AFC on this latest edition to the Stucco Lane grounds. The all-weather pitch will allow even greater use of the facilities here.
“From the initial vision, to design stage, financing and the build, the committee have played a blinder. There is a real community feel to this club and I know that a great many people played a part in getting to this stage.
“The all-weather pitch is available to hire and is already getting a lot of use. All I can say to the club is ‘well done and well wear it!’ Its a tremendous addition and a great example of a club and community pulling together to get things done.”
