West Waterford Sinn Féin has received a huge response to its dignity packs for the homeless appeal. The project sought to gather toiletries and essential personal items for homeless people and thanks to the generosity of all who contributed 100 packs have been made and will be distributed via homeless charities over the coming days.
Thanking the public for their generosity, Conor D. McGuinness said:
“I’m blown away by the generosity of people. There has been a steady stream of people dropping stuff to the office and into Devereux Manshop over the past few weeks. Our contain shampoo, soaps, face cloths, sanitary products, nail clippers, face wipes, toothpaste, toothbrushes and a range of other essential personal items and toiletries.”
“On behalf of West Waterford Sinn Féin I want to extend a massive heartfelt thanks to everyone who contributed to this very practical and very necessary appeal! We’ve had hundreds of bags and boxes and we’re deeply grateful for every single one!”
“Thanks as well to Audrey and all in Hallahan’s Pharmacy, to everyone in Treo Dungarvan, to Devereux’s and all in the Dungarvan Leader and Dungarvan Observer for their support and generosity!”
