Sinn Féin Councillor Conor D. McGuinness has welcomed confirmation from the HSE that they are actively reviewing locations for a Primary Care Centre in Youghal. McGuinness was speaking at a meeting of the Regional Health Forum in Cork City where he raised the need to accessible health care services for rural communities in West Waterford.
“This is positive news for people in Youghal and East Cork, however it is also good news for people in parts of West Waterford such as Ardmore, Clashmore, Kinsalebeg and Knockanore.
“Ease of access to healthcare and supports is a crucial factor in securing positive outcomes for patients, especially older patients or people with reduced mobility. Primary Care Centres provide a host of outreach and healthcare services to the community.”
