Chuir an Comhairleoir de chuid Shinn Féin Conor D. McGuinness in iúil go mbeidh obair á dhéanamh go luath chun dromchla bóthair a neartú ar an R 674 idir Crosaire na Léithe go Crosaire Roberts faoi Clár Neartú Bothar 2020 Comhairle Phort Lairge.
Sinn Féin Councillor Conor McGuinness has welcomed the inclusion of strengthening works on the R 674 from Crosaire na Léithe to Robert Cross in Waterford Council’s 2020 Roads Strengthening Programme.
McGuinness said:
“The works will address ongoing issues with the surface of this stretch of road that I have repeatedly flagged with engineers. Concerns had been expressed going back several months about the state of the road surface in parts, especially in the wake of the recent works to install the mains water supply from Dungarvan. Strengthening works will also take place on the L 2026 Sean Phobal from Roberts Cross to Crosaire Uí Bhroin. Works are expected to get underway shortly.”
