Sinn Féin Councillor Conor D. McGuinness has said that the planned strengthening works to be carried our on Scanlon’s Yard provides an opportunity to reconfigure the car park there.
McGuinness said:
“I have raised the issue of the configuration of Scanlon’s Yard car park regularly. Anyone who uses the car park will know that the parking spaces are too small. Cars have been damaged, people have been unable to re-enter the vehicles, and even at the busiest of times spaces remain unused as they are two small for most cars.
“I welcome the inclusion of macadam works at Scanlon’s yard in the Council’s 2020 Strengthening Programme but I would like to see a reconfiguration of the car parking spaces take place as part of this work.”
