Sinn Féin Councillor Conor D. McGuinness has announced details of a new service for constituents to meet the challenges and changes faced as a result of the ongoing emergency measures. McGuinness will host one-on-one constituency clinics via the online meeting and conferencing app Zoom.
“I am delighted to be able to offer a scheduled, one-on-one advice clinic service to my constituents in Dungarvan and West Waterford. Over recent weeks and months people have become more and more familiar with apps such as Zoom for work, to keep in touch with family, or to enjoy music sessions and quizzes.
“Despite our office being closed and my regular clinics being suspended, I have been busier than ever helping constituents to access information, supports and advice. Phone and email is useful for much of this work, but in many cases the situation requires a fuller or more in-depth meeting. Online is not a substitute for face-to-face meetings but platforms such as Zoom are proving to be very useful alternatives.
“I will hold online clinics on Monday and Wednesday mornings from 9 am to 12 noon. Anyone who wishes to book an appointment should get in touch by email to email@example.com or phone on 087 9345603 beforehand to arrange an appointment.”
